I really like the works they have produced. Its something very simple but is very effective. I also like how they have utilised the colours so gracefully and in harmony. Most of their works are very neat and colour oriented. Colours are definitely the area that I really like working with and I have managed to see the effectiveness of it in their work.

They focus on being sustainable and aim to achieve the project with having smallest impact on the environment. I think its very important to be committed to promoting sustainability. They have a goal to promote sustainability and help the clients and suppliers to do the same.

I found out that they follow these morals and are really committed in being sustainable. For example they make sure their paper sourcing is 100% post-consumer waste(PCW), processed chlorine free(PCF) or from sustainable forestry(FSC).
They recycle all their consumable packaging.
Reduce their energy consumption of office equipment by buying low energy consuming equipment or simply by turning off the non important electrical equipments.

Their works look professional and well thought of. Some are simple(in a right way) and straight forward whereas others are complex and delicate. For example their Airforce logo re design is very simple but for them to get there they had to look back at the previous logo and work from their.

Questions

Minx creative: What if the clients approach them with a brief that is against their belief?
Will they work with them/ will they try to change their idea or not work with them all?

She Was Only

Do they only work towards simplicity?
Are their times when it doesn't work out with sticking just mainly to simplicity?

Weekly Plan

(13-19) of April - All the questions will be finalised and will be sent to the design companies and also look into the topic for the final documentation.

(20-26) of April - Research more into the topic of sustainability and form some ideas that will go towards the final video. And also keep checking for the replies from the industries.

(27-7) of April to May -  Work on the video and finish it before the deadline. Try to make the video creative and related to your topic. Don't make something that is simple try to find creative way of approaching it.

Final Idea

Video about sustainability

I like the process of not wasting a material and using this same already been used materials again and again. Obviously this has many pros such as reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution and water pollution and stop the use of fresh raw materials, lower greenhouse commissions. We can recycle many things like glass, paper, metal, plastic, textiles and electronics. These materials can be recycled by taking them to the collection center which will then be taken and reprocessed into brand new materials for manufacturing.

The main thing about recycling is that you can recycle almost anything. There's so many things you can do with the materials which most people would just throw.

Any material can be of use when its actual purpose has been met. As seen from the image the plastic bottles which we can see in our everyday lives being thrown around without any use. We can almost make use of anything that has already been used.

In 2003/4 UK households produced 30.5 million tonnes of waste. From their only 17% was collected for recycling. This is really low because compared to this other EU countries recycle over 50% of their waste. Having said this there are still a great amount of waste that can be recycled.

Its a great way of saving energy and conserving the environment.

Not only that but it can help do much more such as 1 recycled tin can enough energy for television to last for 3 hours. We put a lots of things in our bin but only 60% of it of it ends of being recycled.
With this video I want to show much more than a just a simple material. I will try to find a creative way which will show some kind of importance about this concept.

From the images above you can see unique uses of materials which has lost its purpose. These are the materials that people may think are totally useless. Hopefully I will be able to show the same kind of effectiveness with my video. I want people to have a change of thought or even bring a little impact in their daily lives.
